I come from a science background. In industry, I spent years processing massive datasets—machine learning, clustering algorithms, high-dimensional visualization.
What stayed with me was a frustration: these methods are powerful, but in daily life they rarely help ordinary people see their own patterns.
The techniques already exist. The compute is already here. What was missing for me was the bridge from technical capability to humane experience.
That's the bridge I wanted to build.
Another Pair of Eyes
Here's something I believe deeply: You can't lift yourself up by pulling your own hair.
The reason you are who you are today is partly because you don't see your own patterns. Your habits, your blind spots, your recurring themes—they're invisible to you precisely because you're living inside them.
But when data shows you those patterns? When you can see that you've mentioned guitar every few weeks for the past year? Suddenly you realize: Oh, I actually do care about music. Maybe I should do something about that.
Once you see through your own patterns—even your limitations—you naturally stop repeating them. That's growth. That's why you need another pair of eyes.
The Intelligent Steward
At its simplest, this is just a secretary. It organizes your meeting notes. But now the cost of that is nearly zero.
At its best, it's like having someone who remembers everything you've said—last week, last year. It connects the dots. It finds the threads running through your life that you didn't notice.
You don't need to manually sort things into "work notes" vs "personal reflections" vs "health journal." You just speak, and the system organizes. The best experience is when collection happens automatically.
The Art of Surfacing Without Exposing
There's a balance here that matters: How do you surface insights from data without trading off privacy?
This is an art. What tech stack achieves the goal without overkill? How do you make the machine work for people without making them vulnerable?
In my previous work with large-scale data, we used intuitive visualizations—parallel plots, radvis plots, clustering in high-dimensional space. These techniques are genuinely interesting. What We're Really Building
Think about how humans interact. When you talk with a close friend, you reference things you mentioned days ago. They build on it. That continuity—that reference—is what makes conversation feel like flow.
With machines, that continuity is usually missing. And that friction is exactly why talking to software feels exhausting.
We're trying to translate human-to-human flow into human-to-software flow. The Discovery feature is one piece of that:
- Pattern Discovery: Like a bystander watching your conversations, finding commonalities, surfacing insights you wouldn't have found alone.
- Auto-organize: You don't categorize. The system collects and structures based on what you've defined matters to you.
3. Clustering: Finding the hidden links between ideas. Helping you discover:
- The unspoken clues
- The unspoken words
The Goal
I still don't know how far this can go. But I know the moment I care about.
When I look at the graph and think, "I didn't realize I'd been circling this idea for so long," that's the point.
Not just organizing notes. Helping people see themselves.
